Hawkesville/Conestoga Lake

SO... I know it's early, but my friend and i have the Snowy Owl itch like crazy, so we decided to head out to the Arthur area to see what we could see. Not surprisingly, there was not an owl to be found, however we did see lots of raptors, and who's gonna complain about that?!?! Here's the list:
Red-tailed Hawk (5)
Cooper's/Sharp-shinned Hawk (unidentified at this time) (1)
Rough-legged Hawk (2 or 3)
SEVERAL Nothern Harrier (4 or 5)
American Kestral (1)
Merlin (1)

I wish we'd had the sunshine yesterday. I am still not very good at exposure and a lot of the pictures were over exposed.

Pretty impressive list.
SEVERAL harriers? I've only seen 2 in my life :)

Successful outing, Heidi! I have to admit, I'm dying to get out looking for Snowies. Was thinking about taking a drive out that way on Sunday, but we'll see.

Alex, you want a Harrier? C'mon out our way - we've got at least one (either a female or an adolescent male) that regularly hunts in the fields surrounding our yard. It makes an appearance every few days.
