Problem installing under Windows 7

Hi Jon.
I just got a new PC with Windows 7 on it.
When I try to install the software, If fails saying that that certain system components are not present.
I suspect it's probably not compatible with Windows 7.
Do you have any resolutions for this?
Also when/if I get this installed, how do I bring forward all of my entered sightings, locations etc.
