Wow - is what describes my adventurous and exciting day. Here is a recap.
I was up at 5:23 AM and set off (6:00 AM) to pick up a friend before making the drive to Lasalle Park in Burlington. We arrived at 7:09 (only a few minutes after sunrise!) and I must say, we were blessed to see this magnificent site.

This was just the beginning. To our immediate left we were able to see Trumpeter Swans, Mute Swans, Red Winged Blackbirds, Geese (Canadian and possibly Cackling), Mallards, Black American Ducks (I believe?) and about a billion gulls (no lie).
This was an absolute blast, and I must say I had a pretty fun time just wandering around snapping these different creatures. We also ran into a rabbit and a chip munk on the trail.
After this was finished (about 10:45) we set off to Beamers Conservation area, and I must say - holy people! There were buckets of people everywhere bird watching. It was truyl an amazing site since I have never really seen that many people coming out to watch birds. Funny thing was, we saw more snakes (and disgusting amounts of black flies sucking up sap) than we did hawks
