This Weeks Sightings

Postby fred.urie on Fri Feb 17, 2012 8:05 pm

I missed the Ross's Goose at Professor's Lake, Brampton, by 20 minutes, saw the hybrid Redhead X Ring-necked Duck at
Bronte Harbour, Oakville and flushed the Common Goldeneye X Hooded Merganser with my dog today at the
Burlington Ship Canal. My high count on the canal this week for White-winged Scoter was 137. Two Peregrines were
present most days.

This week the 1st year male King Eider was present at LaSalle Marina, Burlington. I had 2 or 3 Fish Crows on Bowan Road,
Highland and Crooks, at Fort Erie today.

Yes Mike, she flushed the C. Goldeneye X Hooded Merg. I got out of there before someone pulled out a handgun.

Don't think she flushed the bird, and it was me and my friend that pointed out where it was in the channel.
You said you were off to see the fish crow as you left.

Was I talking to you, and did you relocate the bird for better shots?

Anyway, I felt bad that I might have messed up your shots.
