Recently moved to Brantford and am desperate to find some good birding sites nearby. Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Define "nearby'" - means very different things to different people! Rock Point is "nearby" if you have a car and a day free, not reachable at all if you have to get around by public transit...

"Nearby" as in an hour's drive. But preferably some spots within Brantford along the Grand River.

A little late, but give the Dickson Wilderness a try. Halfway between Paris & Cambridge just off of 24 (pinehurst road), turn onto Brant-Waterloo Line, and it's about 500m along, just after the "S" bend.
Just another middle-aged guy who likes to stop and view the flora and fauna while driving 50km each way to work each day through the Region.
